And the winner is . . .

After a month of searching, here's the car I chose. It's a 2004 Impreza Outback Sport. I signed my life away for her this afternoon. Now I get to come up with a name for my car as well. Posted by Picasa

I don't approve of naming cars, but I do like it.

Until recently I owned a cute little green Impreza--older and less stylish than yours, but dear to this young maiden's heart. Subarus are great cars--you are a wise man (if you will but forget the name change thing).

Why is it a her?

I realize there is some tradition to refering to vessels in the feminine, but don't you think it a bit disturbing to have men claim ownership of inanimate objects but then deem it female?

Very nice, Chris. And, hey Emily, relax, he doesn't have a woman, so why not fulfill his dream of a future wife in the form of a car? Erin and I used to call the RAV4 Barry White, are you offended by that as well?

Things are almost always referred to in the feminine. Vehicles, nations, guns etc. Take it up with the English language.

Katherine always names cars based on the alphabetic part of their license plates... but that's just her.

Congrats on the car! I think car ownership is an important milestone in a person's life - one I have yet to cross.
